Alpha Dragon's Eagle (The Dragonfate Games Book 2) by Hawke Oakley

Jacquie is a big fan of The Dragonfate Games series and says that Alpha Dragon's Eagle was better than the first book of the series, though both are fantastic omegaverse reads.

From the blurb:

Will buried secrets ruin season two of the Dragonfate Games—or will the truth set fated mates free?

After a controversy ten years ago, Matteo was done in the spotlight. He dropped his stage name and celebrity status to live out a humble life as a golden eagle omega. A second chance at the Dragonfate Games fuels Matteo's desire for his fated mate... and threatens to unearth a past he abandoned long ago.

As an alpha dragon who hoards music, Thystle was devastated when his favorite band broke up ten years ago—especially since he crushed hard on the lead vocalist. But could being the "prize" of a reality TV dating show lure his celebrity crush out of hiding?

When the men lock eyes, hearts flutter and sparks fly. And when Thystle realizes Matteo is the omega he's been obsessed with for a decade, the possessive dragon will do anything to make Matteo his.

Alpha Dragon's Eagle is a fun, sweet mpreg novel with low angst and high stakes! Reading the series in order is recommended. No cheating, and fluffy HEA guaranteed.

Jacquie's Review:

I wrote my review when I'd just finished and was still processing the book. For Alpha's Dragon's Eagle, we get to see more of the brothers and get to know them better. I have an idea for Jade and Viol now and I'm excited about book 3. I really loved book 1, but this was better somehow. I dunno if it was the characters, or just being more settled into the series, but I couldn't put this down.

Cobalt is next! I'm looking forward to that after getting to know him better in this book.

Matteo and Thystle were adorable together with Thystle, determined that he knew who his fated was, and sure he could get him into the games.

They had instant chemistry, and their dynamic was hot. Matteo is no shrinking omega. I've loved how these books have had alphas that are soft for their omegas, and omegas that will make alphas work for it!

The hoard thing is great and everything was tied up nicely with a HEA and a sweet baby dragon.
