The Secrets We Keep By: Rick R. Reed Narrated by: David Allen Vargo

So many things in this story are not as they seem. Jasper is happy with the life he is living until something that happens that makes him reexamine everything. His roommate isn't who he thought. The uncle he meets turns out to be different than expected. Reedkaye listened to The Secrets We Keep

From the blurb:

Jasper Warren is a happy-go-lucky young man in spite of the tragedy that’s marred his life. He’s on a road to nowhere with his roommate, Lacy, whom he adores, and a dead-end retail job in Chicago.

And then everything changes in a single night. Though Jasper doesn’t know it, his road is going somewhere after all. This time when tragedy strikes, it brings with it Lacy’s older, wealthy, sexy uncle Rob. Despite the heart-wrenching circumstances, an immediate connection forms between the two men.

But the secrets between them test their attraction. Will their revelations destroy the bloom of new love…or encourage it to grow?

Reedkaye's Review:

The narration by David Allan Vargo was perfect. Jasper is going through life happy with his pretty unexciting life. He has a roommate Lacy who means the world to him. They are pretty close or so he thought until an event happens that turns Jasper’s life upside down. The girl he lived with and thought he knew is totally different that her true identity.

When Jasper meets Lacy’s uncle, he finds out the girl he has lived with, shared so much with is totally not who he would have ever thought she would be. As Jasper gets to know Rob he also reexamines his life.

Growing up Jasper faced plenty of tragedy. What happened to his family would be enough to scar anyone for life. Jasper’s feelings for his dad change as he sees things from a grownup perspective.

The Secrets We Keep has a few unexpected twists that made me and a great ending
