The final battle is here for Parker and Nick in Cypress Ashes, the last book of the San Amaro Investigations series. As expected the book is filled with action, sacrifice, love and loyalty. In order to save San Amaro and the Thousand Realms everyone must come together to fight and hopefully survive the wrath of the Sun god.
From the blurb:
Parker Ferro is not okay.
In the heart-pounding conclusion to the San Amaro Investigations series, Parker faces down enemies on all sides, including one within his own family. With his city under lockdown, Parker is fighting for everyone and everything that he cares about.
The fate of the thousand realms rests on his shoulders. What’s a local PI to do?
SNik's Review:
Seventh in series and final book (San Amaro Investigations), must be read in order. Paranormal urban fantasy. Found family. Established couple.
War is coming, and sure Parker wants to save the Thousand Realms and the World Tree, but he especially wants to save San Amaro no matter what it takes. As he tries to gather allies he is battered from all sides, the possibility of losing his friends, family and most importantly his husband Nick is becoming a real risk. Parker remains the plucky hero who constantly takes on too much responsibility with Nick as steadfast as he can be while Darkness tears away his individuality and Parker’s found family continue to step up to help.
Tons of action and adventure as usual for this series, plus loads of friendship, loyalty, love and courage. Sacrifice is always hovering around the corner, and the anxiety about who Parker will lose is high in the final battle.
I am gutted that this series is ending, but this has been a whirlwind adventure reading the series with memorable characters, so thank you Kai Butler.
