Excerpt:

They entered a clearing and the view in front of them slowly changed. The trees grew distant in the background and the sky opened. The green moss turned into an alley, and at the end of this alley a house appeared. Or rather, a castle. Like everything magical Lodrick had seen so far, you had to look more than once to really see it. There seemed to be different buildings in one, of different eras. Lodrick saw a cozy and welcoming cottage; he blinked and he saw a sturdy medieval castle with turrets, arrow slits and crenellations; he blinked a third time and saw a pleasant mansion with wide windows and frescos.

“The house doesn’t like to choose,” commented Godefroy. “I prefer the cottage, but she thinks it’s too small.”
