Jacqueleen the Reading Queen's Review:

This is my first read by Katy Manz and it was totally cute. I liked both Zander and Rayne. They are big personalities. Don't let the fact that Rayne is an omega fool you. He is not to be messed with. I liked how even though these two were fated mates they still faced some of the same issues normal couples do when they think about getting married. Never mind the fact that bonding with one's mate is guaranteed forever. There's no option for divorce so it likely puts even more pressure on the couple.

I could relate to Rayne in wanting to make sure he would still have his independence and ability to peruse his dreams after mating. He's worked hard in his life to get to where he is and doesn't want to feel like he's giving up something he wanted. This was something he communicated to his mate which made me happy since that was the mature adult thing to do. Zander was understanding, exactly what a mate should be.

Zander's family turned out much different then I assumed based on the way Zander spoke about them when they were estranged. It was a nice surprise. We also had to deal with the mystery of who was attacking the clans and packs in the name of Zanders family. I did figure it out fairly quickly and the climax of that was relatively short, but I liked that the book was majorly based on the romance.
