Prince of Lies By: Lucy Lennox Narrated by: Michael Dean

Lesetiger calls Prince of Lies "adorably charming."

From the blurb:

Rowe Prince is a lying liar who windmills into my life in full color, claiming to be Sterling Chase, a quirky, eccentric billionaire…and founder of the company I created.

Two can play at the lying game, though, and I’m not about to let some burrito-delivering, floppy-haired virgin from Indiana best me at a game I was born to play.

So I do him one better and pretend to be Sterling Chase’s new assistant. I’ll teach him a lesson that will hopefully wind us both up in bed… with nothing but the truth between us.

But it turns out his shameless lies are enchanting…unintentionally hilarious…and make it all too easy to forget the truth....

Until I learn that this cutie’s intent is to defraud the company I’ve spent years building. I have to choose: Risk the company or say goodbye to the man I’m falling for. A guy who just might be….

Lesetiger's Review:

I've read next to nothing by Lucy Lennox before, but after this book, that will quickly change. I really loved Prince of Lies. I thought the writing style was wonderful and I quickly became immersed in the story of Bash and Rowe.

The storyline was original and interesting because others besides Rowe knew his character at the fundraiser was a fake and it was just too delightful to witness. There were many funny moments and despite his lies, for which Rowe has good reasons, he is very likeable, full of drive and zest for life and in between he is delightfully naive, which brought a smile to my face more than once. A protagonist you quickly take to your heart - at least I did.

I also liked Bash immensely, because he doesn't immediately blow the charade, but has a very enjoyable evening instead of the very boring expected evening.

The story scores with its characters and that includes the secondary protagonists, namely Bash's brothers, who I would love to learn more about. I also found the mix of humor, warmth, romance, drama and suspense as well as the incipient feelings very successful.

The audiobook captivated me from the beginning and I listened to it in just two days because I was dying to know what happened next.

Michael Dean was fantastic and brought the audiobook to life with his voice and performance. He found appropriate voices for the different characters and he portrayed the emotions just brilliantly. He was an absolute pleasure to listen to and now I can't wait to listen to more volumes with the brothers!
