Dez's Review:

Freddy is the ever optimistic sunshine in human-I mean hedgehog- form. You won’t find a more likable guy than him. I honestly fell in love with Freddy and his personality! I’m on the bandwagon that Freddy is to be protected at all times! Even though he’s capable of taking care of himself.

Archie is every man and woman’s dream. Sexy, arrogant, protective, family-oriented, and wealthy. Woo 😮‍💨 He’s known to be unapproachable and a bit standoffish but that’s no match for the bumbling hedgehog about to come his way.

We’re taken on a somewhat unexpected yet totally amazing pairing of a harpy and a hedgehog. I loved watching as Freddy melted Archie’s walls and as Archie began to soften with Freddy’s amazing personality. If only the world had more Freddy’s in it would it be a better place.

Through some unfortunate events the pair are tested and with it a new family is found as past trauma is revealed and bonds grow stronger and old ones are repaired.

I’m looking forward to continuing this series as Freddy and Archie is the first book in the Fated Fantasies series!

Angel's Review:

Freddy and Archie was such a cute shifter book. I've read a lot of paranormal shifter books and this is definitely up there.

Archie is a harpy shifter who is used to being alone, after his parents died something happened to make his sister become a shell of herself. After being alone for so long he's jaded and rude, and a bit of a jerk. But his shifter side wants to find their mate. After losing a bet he meets Freddie, and that changed their lives irrevocably.

Freddie is a hedgehog shifter who is sensitive to other people's emotions. He is always giving what he has to others, even when it costs him. After a terrible day he gets a call saying he has found a match. His day, which was horrible to start with, ends up turning itself around by the end of the day. He meets his mate! His grumpy mate...

I enjoyed this book, the writing was nice and I loved the idea of the Array, that was such a unique twist that I have yet to read about before. And the part where their magic only unlocks when they have found their mate? That's so cool!

I did feel at times this book focused to much on the bedtime scenes, (if you know what I mean,) but then the action scenes balanced itself out. I'm really looking forward to reading about the rest of the Array and I'm eager to see who their mates are!

Ms Aimers Review:

Freddy and Archie by Holly Oliver was the first shifter romance I’ve read, and I think it was the best introduction to the shifter world that I could have asked for! One of the reasons I had never read one before was because a completely new genre where one doesn’t know the rules can be intimidating. I feel that Holly’s style and explanation of the shifter world made it feel approachable.

Freddy and Archie are one of the most obvious cases of opposites attracting that I’ve ever seen. Freddy is a sweet, caring hedgehog in his animal form, and Archie is an impatient businessman whose animal form is an harpy eagle. Their strengths compliment the other’s throughout the book. I especially enjoyed the dialogue between their animal forms. Everything was moving along so smoothly that the twist caught me completely off guard. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Fated Fantasies series. The epilogue set it up perfectly!

SNik's Review:

First in series (Fated Fantasies Dating Service). Revised edition. Paranormal. Fated Mates. Dual POV.

Freddy is having a day, he gets fired, kicked out of his apartment and his phone battery dies, and now he has a date that may just match him with his mate if he can get there on time. Archie is a wealthy businessman and eagle shifter that doesn’t want or need a mate, he is focused on making money and protecting his heart. An empathic hedgehog shifter, can Freddy bring out all of Archie’s tenderness and protectiveness while dealing with outside problems and intrigue?

There is quite a lot going on in this story beyond just fated mates finding each other, as Freddy is linked to a greater magic and both Archie and Freddy have difficult pasts that come back into their lives to cause problems.

Archie and Freddy are sweet together, have plenty of steamy times, and acknowledge that even though they are fated they have to work to get to know each other and grow together as a couple.

This was an enjoyable read setting up a new series with supportive secondary characters and an interesting grouping of hedgehog shifters to look forward to seeing them find their fated mates.

Heather's Review;

I missed the chance to read Freddy and Archie's story the first time around and the book has been sitting on my TBR since the summer, so when Holly told me she had re-edited it for re-release I grabbed a copy!

This book introduces us to several unique world characteristics that I had to wrap my head around, but once I was there, it was a chance to see the fated mates come together with their extended family and friends to begin to battle an evil plot...

I love Freddy the hedgehog and his Harpy Eagle mate, Archie... their growth and development through the book was fun to watch and I'm looking forward to seeing what else comes of the ongoing plot line featuring several hedgehog characters!
