This was such a cute story, I love peanut butter and jelly, so a book that has a main character who creates a restaurant out of my favorite sandwich? Sign me up!
I wish there was a place like the one Tanner created around where I live, i would definitely visit it myself. The sandwiches he came up with were so unique, and make me curious to try! I thought his character was so cute, and talented!
Godric on the other hand was a grumpy grizzly, even after he ran into Tanner in the store, he didn't even help him pick any of the groceries up. How rude! I wasn't as big of a fan of his character as I was of Tanner. I understand why he's so careful and alert when it comes to him possibly interacting with his allergy, but I feel like he was a bit... Excessive? I mean, Tanner bent over backwards to try to do everything he could to make sure he didn't contaminate Godric's space, and yet Godric still made it seem like it wasn't enough?
Anyway, the writing was really good, as were the characters. There were two side characters but honestly? I think they were more of an afterthought, they weren't really present in much of this story. Another thing that confused me was Tanner giving up his restaurant. He said at one point he wanted to be able to make sandwiches that even people with allergens could have. But then, he decided to just.. give it up. That confused me.
Overall though, a really great story!!
