"I love Daddy stories, and the only thing that could have made this better would have been to up that dynamic a little more." Nicole on
Daddy's Secret.
From the blurb:
If only you were mine… If only you needed a Daddy to look after you.
This Christmas promises to be the loneliest of Sullivan’s life and he’s set to brave the season alone until he receives an amazing, yet heartbreaking, Secret Santa gift that was inspired by his best friend’s pen pal, Lincoln.
What starts as a thank-you letter to Lincoln soon becomes more as Sullivan finds himself drawn to a man he’s never met—a man who somehow seems to know him. The problem is, Sullivan needs a friend more than he needs a hookup, so he pretends to be married, taking an intimate relationship out of the equation.
Soon pen and paper aren’t enough, and he writes his phone number in his next letter, hoping that Lincoln will call him. When Lincoln finally does, Sullivan’s breath catches at the sound of his voice. When Sullivan pretends that his fake husband is away on a business trip, Lincoln invites himself over for a Christmas movie marathon.
Beside each other on the small couch, the lines begin to blur and Sullivan curses himself for pretending to be married. But maybe he’s not the only one with a secret.
Nicole's Review:
Lincoln and Sullivan were so good together! This was a quick read, and had me rolling with Sullivan's choices for Christmas movies.
The development of their friendship before the physical relationship was perfectly done, and once there the steam is high!
Samantha was a fun side character, and I'd love to read more about her harem. MC Roth hit this one out of the park!

Jacquie's Review:
Not going to lie, I'm not overly fond of daddy books, however, this was M.C Roth and they haven't steered me wrong recently.
I was right to pick this up. A shorter read, but filled with a ton of sweet moments, UST, and some secondhand embarrassment done just right to not be ridiculous or mean.
The daddy stuff? Mildly and well done, just added in during the second half and didn't overpower the story.
The steam? Fantastic.
The characters? Loved both Lincoln and Sullivan and side character, Samantha.
I'd read this again

Red's Book Reads Review:
This is a short but sweet holiday story. Sullivan is in charge of his work Secret Santa and when his friend lets slip that her pen pal helped pick his present this year he has to take his details and write and thank him.
I loved the way Lincoln and Sullivan got together and thought it was great the way their relationship evolved. I did get a little frustrated at times with how they overreacted or jumped to conclusions however on the whole I enjoyed this story.

Lori C's Review:
I really liked that this was just one smooth progression from friends to lovers. There was a bit of angst, but it was mostly that building friendship and a lot of Christmas spirit. A little spicy build up as well. This is really my idea of a great holiday book! A feel good, fun, romance book.

Janet's Review:
Daddy’s Secret was a sweet and short holiday novella. Sullivan is alone at Christmas after having lost his family. He does have his best friend Samantha, and she’s a hoot! After Samantha gets him a fantastic Christmas gift in the work gift exchange, he writes her Pen Pal a thank you. Sebastian is a billionaire and would rather write a letter than talk to anyone. They pass a few letters, then speak on the phone, which moves into meeting and watching Christmas movies together.
Sullivan and Sebastian are sweet together. Loved Sullivan’s choices of Christmas movies. Those had me laughing several times. I loved the way Sullivan and Sebastian’s dynamic/relationship grew and came to be. Their chemistry was off the charts. Loved Sebastian’s sweet submissive side, even though he was on the burly side himself.
Overall, a fantastic holiday novella! Well written with addictive pacing that has hard to stop reading!
