As an ARC reader, I get to dive into holiday stories early.. although not as early now as when I was ARC reading M/F romance and getting holiday books to review by August 1st... but I will say that it means that I get a heaping helping of sweetness and light from mid-October through the beginning of December and sometimes you just want a dark and heart-wrenching story to balance out the sweetness...

That's where the O Deadly Night Anthology comes in... fair warning, some of these stories end in cliffhangers - and for me, who loves a quick and dirty dark mm romance, but rarely reads a whole dark novel, it is a little frustrating not to have at least a HFN ending to the shorts, but as long as you are prepared for it, it works and honestly, the frustration is kinda part of the package... and the theme.. not everyone gets a HEA for the holidays, right?

I haven't finished the entire anthology yet, I'm using it as a palate cleanser and holding some stories back because I have a lot of Ho...Ho...Holiday stories on my TBR, but what I've read has been excellent - plus, it's for charity!
