Audio Review: My (Not So) Straight Professor Not So University Series, Book 3 By: D. K. Sutton, Narrated by: Kevin Earlywine
My (Not So) Straight Professor is an entertaining and exciting story - a love story and a creepy stalker.
From the blurb:
Dr. Joshua Hamlin considers himself straight, but a persistent student, too much tequila, and a flash of red satin panties have him questioning everything.
Atticus is always crushing on the wrong guy. First it was his roommate. Then his yummy but straight—and married—drama professor. Turns out Professor Hamlin isn't as straight or married as he thinks.
As thing heat up between them, they realize that someone doesn't want them together and will do anything to make their point.
Can Atticus and his professor find true love? Or will this need to be together cost them everything?
My (Not So) Straight Professor is an over 90,000-word MM romance and the third book in the Not So University series. It can be listened to as a stand-alone, and has an HEA and NO cheating.
Lesetiger's Review:
My (Not So) Straight Professor is the third book in the series can be read as a standalone. If you have read the two books before, you will be happy to meet old acquaintances here again.
It's about Atticus, a student who always falls in love with the wrong ones. This time it is his professor, but he is straight and married. At least that's what Atticus and Joshua thought. But with a little too much alcohol the world looks different.
I liked the story itself. There is a stalker who threatens both Joshua and his still-wife. Who is behind it? This story around the love story was exciting and entertaining. Joshua struggling with his feelings was also believable.
Atticus was sympathetic to me from the beginning, but with Joshua I had my problems, because he sometimes did not behave as I would have expected.
What I didn't get at all was the sizzle between Atticus and Joshua.
Nevertheless, the story basically entertained me well.
The narrator Kevin Earlywine did a good job. He has a pleasant voice that I could easily listen to. I also found it easy to tell the characters apart.

The audiobook, My (Not So) Straight Professor, was an easy read, with a happy ending, some mystery, and drama. The audiobook narrator wasn’t too bad; I believe I will listen to him again.
The friends in this audiobook were not great. At times the friends of the main character were rude and unsupportive of the main character’s relationship. This audiobook was good, but the friends made it difficult for me to connect with the story.

I’m not exactly sure how to feel about this one. It’s a toss up between irritation and confusion. To start, Atticus’ character was way too annoying, childish to say the least. And Joshua wasn’t much better. Or maybe it was the choice of narrator, either way, I cannot believe I followed through with completion. Maybe it was because I wanted to find out who the stalker was as the mystery and suspense kept my attention.
It was nice to hear how Matt and his professor was doing. The highlight of the day in my opinion. Also, Trace and detective Mason’s flirtatious banter was more than amusing, I was definitely rooting for their connection! Hopefully their story will come next, their hostility towards each other was a great build up for a future listing experience 😉

Janet's Review:
Loved Atticus and Josh!! My (Not So) Straight Professor can stand on its own although you’d probably enjoy the first two stories in the series.
Atticus and Josh must work through a bit of stuff before they can get their HEA, along with a mystery. They have fantastic heat and chemistry!
Overall, a fantastic listen! It was well written and flowed at a good pace and kept me engaged, couldn’t atop listening to it. Kevin Earlywine was fantastic with his narration! Well done!
