A Purpose That Restores Us is a 119K novel and the third book in the MM urban fantasy series, The Magi Accounts. It’s recommended to read the series in order because it has an ongoing storyline, but there is NO cliffhanger.

Third in series (The Magi Accounts), must be read in order. Paranormal/urban fantasy with dystopian elements. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Established couple. Mostly Madeo single POV (Cosmo POV for a few chapters). 

Another fantastic entry into this series, Cosmo the kind, strong Alpha shifter and the powerful, feisty mage Madeo are a devoted tender couple that genuinely bring all the emotion to their relationship.

Trying to settle into the schedule of caring for their expanding family, the Ono-Nai pride continues their job of fighting monster taragorians while trying to hunt down the evil blood witches of the Red Cloth. 

Every time I visit this universe Notaro tears my heart out with the loving family dynamic that is filled with positive supportive interactions, lots of honest communication, and deep emotional ties. 

There is tons of action, slight hints of a more hopeful future, and of course all the romance between Cosmo and Madeo. 

The emotional vulnerability of the characters in this story is heartbreaking, and the possibility of losing any of the found family is a constant fear for the main characters and the reader. Notaro writes with passion and intensity throughout, and this series has caused me huge amounts of anxiety with every page I read hoping for Cosmo and Madeo to overcome all obstacles, to get their HEA, to have a better world to live in with the people that they love. 

Highly recommend this series.
