Tempestuous Miracles: Gay Mpreg (Bearers Book 2) by Anya Byrne

The Bearers re-release continues with Tempestuous Miracles, a The Tempest retelling.

From the blurb:

Mirian Lamine's life has always carried the brand of a Bearer's existence. Seeking to protect him from his legacy, his father spirits him away to an island in the middle of nowhere. And Mirian is grateful, he is, but he also feels increasingly restless, the refuge of his childhood home now nothing more than a gilded cage.

For Frey King, the simple and quite frankly unbearable boating trip changes when he catches sight of the small mysterious island. When a tempest erupts, he knows something is waiting for him out there, and he is willing to do anything to find his future.

But when the two of them meet, will Frey's determination be enough to convince Mirian of his honesty? With all odds stacked against them, it might just take a miracle for the couple to find their happily ever after.

This is the second edition of Tempestuous Miracles, revised and reedited for republishing. In this retelling of Shakespeare's classic The Tempest, find steamy m/m action, exciting twists and turns, and hot Alphas falling head over heels for their mates.

Jacquie's Review:

I'd recommend reading book 1 since the plot from there is present in this novella. Roman and Julian also feature quite heavily. These novellas do not work as standalones.

I haven't read The Tempest so I can't say how faithful this retelling is. I found it to be fast paced with likeable mc's. There's an element of instalove with the mate bond but it works to keep the pacing quickly moving.

The ongoing plot is interesting and I felt bad for Mirian, with all that had happened to him in his life.

Rating: 4 Stars
