Pound Cake Paradise by Lorelei M Hart

Lorelei knows how to write short, sweet, and cute books and it shows in Pound Cake Paradise.

From the blurb:

Sometimes the cake of your dreams is even more delicious in real life.

Omega Ervin has lived in Clearvale for most of his life. He loves his job as the local music teacher, the home he’s renovating, and his dog Lollipop. The only thing missing is someone to share it all with.

Alpha Aziel loved spending the summers with his gramps in Clearvale, and not just because of his first crush, Ervin, living next door. There is something special about this town. It’s been years since he’s been back. If only it was for a better reason.

When Aziel’s gramps asks him to bake his blue-ribbon-winning pound cake for the local charity auction, he immediately agrees. Anything to help his gramps focus on his recovery. Little does he know that the cake comes with a date, and the winner just happens to be the one who got away all those years ago. Maybe this time they can make it work.

Pound Cake Paradise is a second chance super sweet with knotty heat mm non-shifter mpreg romance featuring the beloved local music teacher, the alpha who got away, a cat who decides it is time to pick a family, an adorable baby, new beginnings, a midnight serenade, and a guaranteed happily ever after. If you like your mpreg sweeter than candy, your happily ever afters complete with a bundle of joy, and your mpreg with heart, this installment of Bake Sale Bachelors is for you. While each book in the Bake Sale Bachelors series is set in the same world, they can be read as standalones.

Angel's Review:

Pound Cake Paradise was a cute and sweet take on the alpha and omega trope.

Ervin is an omega who living in Clearvale, a small town where he grew up. He had all his firsts there, including his first crush. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to be with his crush then, but maybe he could be now?

Alpha Aziel hasn't been back in Clearvale since he was a teenager visiting his grandpa over the summers. His grandpa fell and got injured so Aziel went to help him during his recovery, while there his grandpa asked him to make his famous pound cake recipe for the bachelor fundraiser.

He didn't expect that cake would bring him face to face with his childhood crush, the one who got away.

I really enjoy all of the sweet characters Lorelei creates, they are really good at writing! This story was sweet and to the point.

The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is because I wish this was longer. I always want more with Lorelei's books, I always feel like they happen too fast and are too short. That's not to say they aren't good!  They always are, I just wish sometimes there was more.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys an alpha who makes award winning pound cake and an omega who's fixing up his childhood home.

Rating: 4 Stars
