I believe that these novellas are being re-released after being revised, re-edited and given new covers and I loved the new look!
This is a great Romeo and Juliet retelling with some mild angst, some violence and a HEA. I vaguely remember Romeo and Juliet from school and there are some key parts of it here from memory such as the balcony scene. It was pretty cool to have it with a supernatural twist.
Roman and Julian have a bit of insta lust going on thanks to their mate bond, but nothing happens until they get to know each other, which I appreciated. Roman was a strong mc and very easy to like, he puts Julian's needs and comforts above his own. No pesky miscommunication or unnecessary drama. It sets up a running theme for the next novella.
