The Forbidden Equation (Love Equations #3) by J.R. Gray

"JR pulls you into this enticing political journey, never letting you go until the very end!" Tatted_book_freak on The Forbidden Equation.

From the blurb:

My father's the president and my brother's the golden boy which leaves me the black sheep. The son who never wanted to be here at all. The white house my gilded cage, and the secret service my prison guards.

I'm nearly twenty-one and nothing about my life is normal.

The only thing giving me life and any motivation to get out of bed is the way he looks at me. The stolen glances across the West Wing. Heated gaze in the private dining room.

He's my father's best friend, which isn't even the worst part, he's also the vice president. Utterly off limits and I can't bring myself to care. Can't bring myself to stop encouraging his flirting, dreaming, and hoping he won't be able to resist me forever.

Tatted_book_freak's Review:

Gray never lets me down with his work, and The Forbidden Equation just added to his repertoire. His care shown for mental illness was superb, and his political monologue was intense. His knowledge of everything dealing with presidential duties was nothing short of amazing, right down to minute details.

“𝕀𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕤𝕜 𝕟𝕚𝕔𝕖𝕝𝕪, 𝕀’𝕝𝕝 𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕣 𝕚𝕟𝕕𝕦𝕝𝕘𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕤𝕦𝕔𝕙 𝕗𝕒𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕤𝕚𝕖𝕤.”

Oh Liam and Matt were so perfect! Their age-gap was only seen in numbers as their intelligence level was one in the same. Their connection was instant, yet their romance was a slow-burn. Their passion for running is what eventually brought them together and fireworks erupted!

JR does an amazing job of engaging his readers, even if political age-gap isn’t your go-to trope. The intensity of these two characters' bond will capture their minds throughout its entirety. Excited to see what comes next from JR!

Heather's Review:

The Forbidden Equation takes Dad's Best Friend and amps it up to eleven when Dad is the President of the US and his best friend is the newly crowned VP... Gray throws in bi-awakening, age gap and secret service details and brings you to a fair level of flirtation and angst with the White House and the Naval Observatory as set design...

The angst is strong as Matt tries to fit into all the right boxes and puts the greater good ahead of his own wants and needs, but Liam is relentless... and it makes for a compelling and engrossing story that holds your attention and makes you crave one more chapter to see if they actually get together...

This book is light on the politics and strong on the relationship drama and inner workings of being the president's kid attracted to the Vice President of the USA and I'm there for it...

The Forbidden Equation was freakin fantastic!! I literally couldn’t put this story down. Matt and Liam were so sweet together, perfect!

I loved the forbidden romance aspect to it, a really nice age-gap romance. I loved the relationship development, their instant connection and chemistry.

Overall, a fantastic read. Well written with great pacing that just flowed.
