Kaplan Chronicles: Volume 1 by H.M. Wolfe

Kaplan Chronicles is the first in an amazing new series by H.M. Wolfe. It chronicles a Scottish clan that came to the New World for a fresh start - Janet.

From the blurb:

For more than two centuries, the history of Chicago intertwined with that of the Kaplan family, a
Scottish clan of noble origins, forced to leave their lands and home after the Battle of Culloden.

The Kaplans built the city house by house, protected its inhabitants and businesses, grew it, loved it, ruled it.

With their own code of honor and traditions, the Kaplan clan decided on the criminal organizations and legit businesses operating in the city.

But things changed, and, when tragedy strikes into the heart of the family, the Kaplans are forced to make hard choices and pick sides.

Honor, tradition, love, dedication, betrayal, intrigue, deceit-these are the stories of the Kaplan men.

Janet's Review:

Kaplan Chronicles is the first in an amazing new series by H.M. Wolfe. It chronicles a Scottish clan that was forced to leave Britain after the Battle of Culloden.

They went to the New World and met resistance at first, but they were industrious and built villages and eventually became someone substantial. They had commandments of their own, no harm to children, they were sacred.

This is Aiden’s story. There is drama, danger, deceptions, lies, etc. Overall, this was a fantastic story!! Well written, kept me on the edge of my seat reading it!

Rating: 5 Stars
