Awesome !!! This series is just so brilliantly awesome !!!
Mads (along with Jude and Logan) are slowly learning what it means to be part of a pride / family. And just when it’s going smoothly, bam !!
The twists in this story are gut wrenching and I’m not ashamed to admit I did cry …. There’s plenty of action/cases which are becoming harder and tougher for our favourite team. And the sweeter moments as well …. Family – who else is going to poke fun at your singing!!
Also, there really really should be a mating “dance” bahahahahaha I’m not going to spoil it – this story is filled with ups’n’downs – it’ll make you cry, laugh, commit some really extreme bodily harm to someone, cheer, sob, cringe and laugh some more.
The author really does take you on a gambit of emotions and what a friggin’ ride !!

The Shackles That Hold Us is the second in The Magi Accounts series, and must be read in order due to continuing characters and storyline. Paranormal/urban fantasy. Dystopian future. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Established couple. Dual POV.
This book very much is focused on furthering the relationship between Cosmo and Madeo, and I was here for it.
There is more discussion of the traumatizing pasts of both Cosmo and Madeo, how they come together as they deal with each other with sacrifice and trust.
Cosmo is so swoony and committed to Madeo never hesitating, accepting everything about Madeo in order to combine their families and their lives.
Madeo is so relatable with his fears and self doubt, but his loyalty and strength is unquestionable and admirable.
Loved the action, the cuddles, the heartbreak, the absolute love between the characters and the strong secondary cast as well. The Shackles That Hold Us was a beautiful and fun book to read and this series is thrilling and emotional.

A truly phenomenal read. The Shackles That Hold Us was so freakin fast paced that I didn’t put it down until the last sentence was read!! Who needs sleep anyway!!
Madeo and Cosmo story continues. There lives are full of action, danger, drama and love! The Shackles That Hold Us will break you and put you back together again, such an emotional roller coaster ride. #
Cos will put everything on the line to save and protect Mads and Jude. Cos will have to make life saving decisions that could potentially hurt or save his pride/family.
Overall, The Shackles That Hold Us is an phenomenal read, I cannot wait for the next one! It was really well written; the pacing was fast and flowed smoothly. A must read!!!

The Shackles That Hold Us was an enjoyable follow-up book to The Scars That Bind Us.
In this book Madeo and Cosmo’s relationship is more solid as they steadily grow closer, but there is also more action.
The main plot has a hostile force outside of the government that the main characters have to deal with! Michele Notaro, the author, does a fantastic job balancing the outer world issues and the characters’ personal issues and development.
I felt so much enjoyment reading this book. Cosmo and Madeo’s relationship growing throughout the book was palpable and honest even when they both had some disagreements.
I will not give away any spoilers, but if you read the first book, you have to read this book! I am in love with this series. I can not wait to reading Michele Notaro's future books in this series.
