Finishing up our reviews of all 20, Jacquie read Catalyst by Aurora Crane

From the blurb:

It was always inevitable that the sparks between them were going to ignite.

When a murder that happens right in front of Peyton Sinclair’s eyes it reminds him just how short life is and spurs him into action. He’s wanted Quinn for years, and this time he’s going to have him.

Quinn Hughes has spent years admiring Peyton from afar. When Peyton offers him everything that he’s ever wanted, how can he say no?

Giving in to the desire that’s been building between them for years is easy. Facing the fallout will be anything but.

Catalyst is a 20,000-word MM romance with a HFN (happy for now) ending that will turn into an MMM poly relationship during the follow-up, full-length novel. Catalyst contains graphic sexual scenes, gun violence, and mild angst.

Jacquie's Review:

A quick read, Catalyst throws the reader into a story of mutually unrequited feelings and some angst.

After Quinn is nearly killed meeting with an informant, Peyton realises what he could have missed out on and decides to just go for it.

Quinn is resistant, he has his reasons, but the chemistry and feelings between them ignites. The sex scenes were detailed and well written. I could feel the passion that the characters felt for each other.

I'm looking forward to it turning into a full length novel. My only confusion is that there will be another partner but there is no hints as to who that will be. I'll just have to keep a look out for the full length novel I guess.

Rating: 4.5 Stars
