Collar Me (My Kinky Housemate Book Three) by Colette Davison

"Another hit in the Kinky Housemate series." Jacquie on Collar Me

From the blurb:

Will losing my trainer lead me to what my heart desires—a collar and Preston?

I’ve found the perfect place to live in London thanks to the My Kinky Housemate app. It’s close to work and my housemates don’t mind me de-stressing from my job as a nurse by being a playful puppy. Life is good until my puppy trainer finds a girlfriend leaving me high and dry.

A flippant comment leads to an offer from, Preston, the housemate I’ve got a mile high crush on. I thought my attraction wasn’t mutual until he proves me wrong while being my temporary trainer for a puppy show.

Preston has never been into pet play before, but it seems he’ll make an exception for me. As our relationship flourishes and strengthens with him as my new trainer, someone in the puppy community sets out to destroy my reputation.

Can Preston help me resolve the situation before I get driven out of the community that brings me joy?

Collar Me is an mm puppy play romance with housemates that become lovers, handcuffs, a fantasy toy, a jealous puppy and lots and lots of snuggles. It’s the third book in the My Kinky Housemate Series and, while it can be enjoyed as a standalone, it’s better to read it after Sugar Bunny and Plaything.

Jacquie's Review:

I loved this friends to lovers story, especially since it was helped along with a gentle push from their friends. I really like it when the friends get involved as they can see the connection and help the couple with a boost of confidence.

A tiny bit of outside angst with Theo being harassed but other than that it is full of the trademark sweetness of this series. Each book has been a joy to read so far.

And steam. All the steam! Preston's surprise for Theo was crazy hot. Loved that. How each of their kinks are explored with each other is great but it also allows for sweeter, non kink moments between them. That isn't all that their relationship is made up of. They genuinely like each other for who they are.

We also get to see their families a little. I loved Theo's parents!

I'm also delighted at which housemate is next. As in the blurb, Collar Me can be read as a standalone but you should read Sugar Bunny & Plaything first, because not only are they super cute, but each of the characters from those books make appearances in this one.

Heather's Review:

This book combines two amazing tropes - friends to lovers and puppy play and then adds in a little bondage, personal growth and cuddling to make it another adorable Kinky Housemate read!

Theo has been one of my favourite housemates from the beginning and it was great to get to know more about him as an adorable pup and also as a kinky man... It was also nice to have a small chance to see him at work, doing his best to help brighten a child's day while nursing...

Collar Me is a bit of a slower burn than previous stories, but the cuddles and snuggles are worth it and it does build heat as the chemistry ramps up!  I adore how Theo and Preston communicate and are willing to try each other's kinks.  The dates, the surprises, the kink, chef's kiss....

Collar Me could be read standalone, but the first two books are so adorable and you'll love the glimpses of past and future couples even more if you see the building romances and character stories that build from Sugar Bunny to Plaything and then to Collar Me and if you want to see the couple that started it all (and is a free #YBBB read) check out My Kinky Housemate.
