What happens when you're a top and you meet another top you're attracted to?
From the Battle for the Top blurb:
My life is as predictable as it comes. I go to work at my security job, I hang out with my friends, and I spend my free time alone. I don’t want or need anyone or anything else.
Then I’m assigned a night contract with Jordan, who’s my complete opposite, and my world is flipped upside down.
Jordan is friendly, outgoing, and nothing like the men I’m usually attracted to. He’s also big, confident, and can turn me to putty with just his words. I don’t know who I am when I’m with him, and while he makes me feel better than anyone ever has, I’m not sure I’m ready to let someone else take control.
I like Jordan, and I trust him, but is that enough for me to give in and let him take care of me?
***Battle for the Top is aa 75k word opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, hurt/comfort story featuring a jaded former soldier turned security guard, his friendly but guarded co-worker, a found family, and accidental feels. It is Book 2 in the Heroes at Home series, but can be read as a standalone.
Heather's Review:
Battle for the Top was a great read! I fell in love with both characters quickly and enjoyed the push and pull of their attraction and their words... I love that both men were hesitant to leap into the relationship and it grew quite organically. There was a lot of outside tension that helped move the story along. I do wish that the author focused a few more times on their outside of bed dating and building their friendship alongside the steam, but there was just enough... And whoa, the steam! Jordan and Luke definitely had chemistry in the bedroom... with just a hint of kink.
I appreciated that Battle for the Top is a continuation of the Heroes at Home series and can be read in order with Straight Battle, but can easily be read standalone as well.

Amy's Review:
I was so looking forwards to reading Battle for the Top as I loved the first book in this series. I wasn't expecting to love this one as much as the first but I was pleasantly surprised. I think the first book will hold a special place in my heart but I still loved Luke and Jordan story. There was definitely a lot more bedroom activities in this book as they explored how two tops would find a balance.
Their development was so sweet and you could tell they really valued each other. This is a Hurt/Comfort romance. Jordan really looks after Luke and helps build his self esteem by making him realise he is worthy of love and is perfect just the way he is. Luke was very guarded but eventually opens up to Jordan about all he has endured.
We see more of the friendship between Luke and his best friends and found family. I can't wait for Sarge's book. This is a brilliant series with complex characters and great relationship dynamics.
Battle for the Top is currently available in e-book and paperback and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
