Frankie Bishop had only been married for a few months when he became a widower, leaving him with a mountain of debts, a business on the edge of ruin, and a parrot called Hank Marvin.
Set before After Felix and immediately made me want to read it again since there was a cameo from Max.
Frankie was just a little oblivious for me and I didn't understand his continued grief for his husband when their reality was quite sad.
Con though, he made this for me. I loved that he was there waiting patiently for Frankie to be ready.
I loved the small town setting and all the side characters that are quintessential to a Lily Morton book.
I'd love a return to this at some point.
