Gary gets himself hired by the ExorSquad so he can be sent to investigate the deaths of several hotel guests and supposedly to eradicate their ghosts. But unfortunately, he has to now solve his own murder while trying to solve more than one mystery while crushing on one of his fellow ghosts and victims.
This was a really entertaining murder mystery, well written with interesting characters with a little bit of romance to root for. It took me a while to warm up to Gary, but he really grew on me as he worked diligently to solve the mysteries at the hotel while adjusting to life as a ghost and appreciating the small group he finds himself surrounded by. I would have liked to see how the HEA looked, but I enjoyed the mystery, the characters and the world of ExorSquad is still introducing humor and love which has made each book a fun read.

If you've been following along with this series, then you would have read the other two books so far. So then you would know this book sets itself a part from them because Gary wasn't a human for very long in his story. We only had a few chapters with him as a human, and then he was a ghost.
I, for one, really enjoyed the concept of this book and I loved how we got a "ghost's" POV. It set this book a part and made reading it really enjoyable! I also loved the cast of characters, they were all a little kooky but they made up a family of their own and I just adored seeing that! Now, I will say this book isn't heavily focused on romance, its more focused on the investigation that Gary and the others are investigating, however, I honestly quite liked that! It was refreshing reading a romance book that wasn't too spice heavy, and i honestly think this fit Gary and Trystan's characters better as well. They circled each other for a bit before finally giving in and that build up was everything!
The investigation, and the podcast, was written and described immaculately! I was completely immersed in this murder mystery world, tagging along on the journey of discovering who is behind all of the deaths at the hotel, and the reveal of the culprit was handled SO WELL!!
Its safe to say I loved everything about this book, and I highly suggest for you to read it yourself! It'll make you smile, maybe even laugh, abd will make you question if ghosts are real or not... and if they are.. can they do the things that these ghosts could?
