Beautiful Chaos (Wildlings Book 3) by Kelly Fox

Silas is a special kind of killer, but he's not a psychopath. And for some reason Oakley has always been drawn to him, and they form an even deeper bond once Oakley knows everything about Silas's upbringing. But when everyone fears you it's hard to feel like things will last.

From the blurb:

I might be falling for a psychopath.
My doctorate in Complex Psychopathy makes this a serious conflict of interest.

Silas and I are Wildlings—a chaotic crew of cousins and found family. Now that we're all grown up, we've joined the Guardians, our family's illegal vigilante operation in the Texas Hill Country. And Silas? He’s our most dangerous asset.

I've been fascinated by him ever since I found out he existed. Twenty years ago, the Guardians discovered him as a child in a genetics lab. He'd been created in a petri dish, made to resemble a terrifying old wives tale.

He's also half a foot shorter and a hundred pounds lighter than me. Doesn't matter. He's still the scariest thing in any room. Yet he likes it when I’m in control.

Good news: my sister thinks we're cute together. Bad news: my dad killed the man responsible for Silas's terrifying genetics.

Worse news: my fathers hate the man I should not be sleeping with.

Beautiful Chaos is the final, bloody chapter in the Wildlings trilogy. It features a tattooed psycho only a therapist can love, a dragon-inspired marital aid, and a self-cleaning murder room.

SNik's review:

Third and finale in series (Wildlings), best if read in order. Friends to lovers. Found family. Slow burn. Dual POV/some multiple POV. Heed content warnings.

Genetically modified before birth, Silas is adopted and cared for by his fathers, but he is feared by most except for the other Wildlings. Oakley has always been intrigued by Silas, and now that he has learned more about Silas’s past he embraces everything that SIlas is, especially their mutual attraction.

These two couldn’t be a better fit, they certainly balance each other, fulfill each other's needs emotionally and intimately, as well as accept and understand each other. Once the steam starts it never stops, and with a balance of violence and loving family members this was an entertaining story. The parts I really enjoyed were the moments with Oakley and SIlas on page together, every conversation and every spicy time. I was happy to see all the parents reconcile and renew their friendship, and I am sad to see this series ending.
