INFERNAL RUBY is book three of the PRIMORDIAL PROTECTORS co written series from Layla Dorine & TL Travis. This is a fated mates, slower burn eggpreg romance.
From the blurb:
Odem, Odem, Odem.
Fate couldn't have paired him with a better mate.
The wise cracking Denarius brother just might have met his match. For the first time in centuries, he’s found himself backpedaling and at a loss for words, and all because his snarky mate has a more talented tongue than he does.
Infernal Ruby is book 3 in the Primordial Protectors series. A jokester protector and a sassy take no crap omega. Odem is in for the ride of his life with this one and his brothers are thoroughly enjoying the show.
Molly Otto's review:
This is book three of the Primordial Protectors series and was the first I read and can say it can easily be read as a standalone. The authors catch you up on enough from the previous installments, so you don't feel lost while enjoying the journey. With that being said I do plan on reading the previous books to see how the other couples came to be.
Odem unknowingly has a one-night stand with his fated mate and doesn't see him again until Ronan confronts him. Ronan is a beautiful ball of sass and attitude and in complete denial of who he really is, so yeah, it takes him a bit to warm up to Odem and his family. I appreciated that this was not your typical fated mates' story, it takes well Ronan time, to accept the bond. Odem shows his serious and understanding side in allowing Ronan the time he needs, even if it may go against his own sanity. Once they accept, love their relationship not only with one another but the rest of their ever-growing family. This is one of those mpreg stories you actually get to experience the entire pregnancy, laying of egg, eggs maturing and lastly eggs hatching, was a nice change of pace to get to experience it all throughout the story vs just the end. With hints to what is come in the next book, can we all say how rude! and can I please have the next story now please and thank you. Overall, a great co-write where you weren't able to tell who was writing what which made for a more enjoyable experience.
Infernal Ruby is currently available as an e-book and paperback and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
