A world that looks all doom, gloom and loneliness until Cam uproots his life to find a new start in a new place because he is convinced he doesn't deserve any better. How not to like such kind of story that has so many different threads intertwined in the most well thought way - from the BDSM elements, the found family trope and the bright vibrance of the characters, that looked ready to jump from the pages, to the mental health representation. Healing, personal growth and the power of second chances and rebuilding a precious lost friendship were the highlights of the story. There were moments when the story felt overwhelmingly sweet and emotionally heavy. But Cam's Little side - endearingly cute and silly - as well as Saul's caring and loving, slightly grumpy nature, quickly gave a lighter vibe as a counter.
Overall it was fast paced, quick read with a plethora of interesting moments and healthy dash of spice and kink.
The fact that the author has chosen an Animal sanctuary as a place is a captivating choice for plot development.
I really liked what I read. A perfect one day entertainment!
