When the Red Rains come you better be prepared. You never know what will happen when they do. What if Australia became a dystopian wasteland full of brutal human beings and zombies? That's exactly what Ali created.
From the blurb:
Eli
Built a century ago as a secret research facility in the middle of the Australian Outback, The Facility is the only home I’ve ever known—and I’m grateful for it. We have food, water, and guards to protect us from the infected. We’re lucky, we’re safe and I never plan to step beyond our walls.
Until I’m given no choice and I’m sent on a supply run with him—Jacob.
The man who saved my life ten years ago now lurks in the shadows, always watching over me. Can his ever-watchful eye, and experience traversing the harsh Australian desert keep us both safe? Or will the Red Rains and the infection in our blood finally claim us?
Jacob
I try not to think too hard about the future. It’s too easy to get disappointed. I’ve learned too many times not to get attached, and in my ten years here at The Facility, I’ve managed to keep my walls even more secure than the ones around our compound.
Except for him—Eli.
Too beautiful for a world as ugly as this one, I can’t keep myself from watching over him and keeping him safe from the ever-present danger of our lives.
When he’s assigned to my team for a supply run to a neighbouring outpost, I’m faced with my darkest nightmares and deepest fears. And I might just find that there is one thing worse than losing him, and that’s never having him at all.
All Your Days is a full-length MM dark dystopian romance as part of the 1nf3ction shared world collab. Each book is a standalone containing themes and situations not intended for readers under the age of 18. Both characters are consenting adults.
Angel's review:
When I saw that Jacob and Eli's story took place in Australia I was so excited! I'm really loving this multi author series, but what I'm loving the most is how each author is being so unique and creative with their stories. Like how Ali has hers set in Australia, that alone is so cool, but her twists on the infected and the different animals that are now zombified was really awesome to read about.
I'm sure you're wondering about the main characters and if their romance came through even with the dystopian world and the zombies... I'm here to tell you that yes, their romance came through exceptionally well and was written in a really great way.
Jacob and Eli have been connected ever since Jacob saved Eli from a zombified snake. Ever since that day Jacob has kept his eyes on Eli but has never gotten close... Until they are both sent off on a journey out beyond their protected walls into the dancers of the wilderness... Their journey is not an easy one but if one good thing came out of it it's that these two men FINALLY talked to one another!!
Jacob and Eli are different but are so compatible together, I loved the scenes where they traded heartfelt and sometimes silly stories. Those moments really had the romance brewing between them shine through. While there were adorable scenes of them together, there was also a lot of angst for these two as well. Eli wants to live life to the fullest and not love in fear, whereas Jacob is scared of loving someone else just for him to lose them again... They have a long journey ahead of them, both literally and figuratively, but gosh, it was beautiful when they finally got there in the end.
Thera's review:
I loved this book. I love that each book has a different take on the Red Rains but yet similarities. Eli and Jacob were awesome together. Jacob was so protective. I loved that. These two were lovely together. I'm so glad they got their HEA.
