A clueless rugby player that doesn't understand his sudden jealousy and possessiveness over his best friend and teammate. Who wouldn't want to be Devon's boyfriend? So Jonny grabs on with both hands and refuses to let go, much to Devons delight.
From the The Fly-Half blurb:
Wanted: A Way To Control My Jealousy So I Don't Get Sin-Binned
When my best friend goes on a date with a mutual acquaintance, I'm supposed to be happy for him, not so angry I want to start screaming.
Devon and I have been close ever since we were children, but I’ve never been possessive of him. Until now.
Seeing him with another man makes me want him in ways I’d never imagined wanting anyone before, and now all I can think about is having him in my arms. My jealousy is starting to get the better of me, both on and off the rugby pitch, and I can't stop losing control. And Devon has noticed.
Maybe it's time I come clean and tell him just how much I want him.
And hope he wants me too.
SNik's review:
Second in series (Lincoln Knights), can be read as a standalone but might be more fun if read in order. Best friends. Teammates. Dual POV.
Devon has been in love with his best friend for years, and now they play for the same rugby team and it’s pure torture keeping his pining hidden. Jonny doesn’t understand why his jealousy and possessive feelings for Devon have started to go into overdrive, but once he confronts his feelings he is all in on being with Devon.
Once Jonny realizes his feelings are romantic his relationship with Devon goes from zero to sixty with no hesitation and I really enjoyed that Jonny had no second thoughts about being intimate with Devon. Jonny’s insistence at putting Devon first in everything is swoony, they have no problems falling right into the fact that they have always been each other's special person. There is plenty of steam and a large cast of supportive friends and teammates which were so wonderful (with some cameos).

Molly Otto's review:
Well, possessive really doesn't begin to describe this relationship. When returning to play rugby with his best friend, who he happens to love, Devon decides it's time to move on for the sake of their friendship and being able to play together. Jonny doesn't know why he is so dang possessive of Devon, but oh boy, seeing him go on dates ticks that box right off.
The tension is palpable, keeps you drawn in from start to finish. These men are one of those couples that will either be fire together or explode from the tension. You do not know what you are going to get until they finally allow themselves to be together. A great addition to the series and looking forward to more of these boys finding their partner.
Heather's Review:
Best friends to lovers, bisexual revelation and rugby - what more could you want? We've seen Devon pining for his bestie and in this book, Jonny is finally catching up! This is a lower angst version of the typical oblivious best friends trope, and we watch Jonny get his mind together pretty quickly, especially as he becomes really possessive of his best friend.
This series is much better read in order, and honestly, as part of the larger Charlie Novak universe, since we get a variety of cameos and you'll understand the tone better, but it can be read standalone.
The Fly-Half is currently available as an e-book and can be read as part of your Kindle Unlimited Subscription
