Angel (Camboy Network Book 3) by Linden Bell

The third book in the Camboy Network introduces us to Angel and his sexual awakening with his best friend's brother, a camboy and exotic dancer.

From the blurb:

He was only supposed to be gay for pay.
Angel
I’ve never had sex before. And I've definitely never looked at a guy that way before. But with his brightly-colored hair and beautiful outfits, Rhys is hard to ignore--especially after I learn what he does for a living.

Signing up with The Camboy Network is way outside my comfort zone, but with Rhys guiding me the whole way, it doesn’t feel all that scary. In fact, it feels like fate.

Rhys
I left home the minute I turned eighteen, so falling for a guy from the old neighborhood is the last thing I should do--especially since he's straight. But he's utterly adorable, so innocently kinky, and exactly my type.

We shouldn't fit together so well, but we do. No matter how hard I try to stay away, I can’t. Our lives couldn’t be more different on the outside, but maybe we're a lot more alike than we think.

Angel is a bi-awakening, opposites attract, size difference MM romance between a burly cinnamon roll construction worker and a flamboyant pole-dancing twink. Expect accidentally dirty text messages, completely unexpected kinks, and chivalrous courage that truly runs deep. Angel is the third book in The Camboy Network series, but can be read as a stand-alone.

Heather's Review:

I think this may be my favourite story in the Camboy Network series... Angel is so sweet and genuinely mystified by his attraction to Rhys and to the idea of camming with him and Rhys is just so willing to do whatever it takes to be with Angel...

This book was steamy, adorable and sweet and the way Angel emerges from his experience is as adorable as his cinnamon roll personality.  I love the way he stands up for himself and Rhys and really goes all in!

This is the third book in the series but can easily be read standalone if the tropes and story appeal to you.

Angel's review:

This book was adorable! I absolutely loved Angel and Rhys's story. It was full of awkward moments, steamy first times, love, and friendship.

As soon as I started this story I was immediately immersed into this world with Linden's writing. This story begins with Rhys going back home for his dad's Birthday party, there he meets Angel. While he thinks he's sweet and handsome he knows its unlikely that he'll see the man again. When he gets a text from Angel a few weeks later asking for more information about Gay-for-Pay, he's surprised but excited. And that is where their love story begins.

The writing of this book was exceptional! The pacing flowed effortlessly, the characters had their own individual personalities and characteristics, every character helped add dimension, along with providing wonderful dialogue, and the world building was excellent. I absolutely loved Angel and Rhys, their story is by far my favorite in the whole series. Angel is shy, sweet, caring, protective, and so innocent. Rhys on the other hand is bold, confident, sassy, sexy, and loves steamy times. These two men were a beautiful contrast to each other and fit together so seamlessly.

I absolutely loved the pacing of this story, I liked how there was more of a buildup between Angel and Rhys. I enjoyed how their relationship took time to develop and grow beyond the scenes they were filming. I loved both of these characters. Angel is such a sweetheart, I loved how he was discovering new things about himself throughout this story, and he never freaked out about it. He accepted it, he accepted himself, and he was eager to learn more with Rhys.

My favorite part was the scene where they attended the wedding, I adored how protective Angel was of Rhys, and how Nico stood by his younger brother no matter what happened. That scene was really wholesome and was one of the turning points of the story . Overall a great book! I'm excited for Hayden's book, I'm looking forward to his story!
