There is nothing like a slow slide into love, and every time Daniel and Ethan are together their relationship continues to build into something really special between them. But will the large difference in their ages be something they can't overcome?
From the Ethan blurb:
Once he finally admits our strong connection, he knows where to find me
Ethan
Over the past twenty years, I've had three blissful relationships. Although none lasted, I've maintained friendships with all my former partners. So, I feel rather lucky in love. Yet I'm still trying to find my forever guy. I want someone with whom I can share my passion for friends and family, someone who will be there for me when the inky darkness envelops my sunshine.
I thought I'd finally found him when he walked into my coffee shop. We instantly connected, chatting about life once a week for weeks. Just when I thought we'd shared a soul-stirring connection, he vanished without a word.
Six months ago, I bumped into him again. My heart ached for him, desperate for that connection to pick up where we left off. I haven't been able to shake him from my mind. I told him to track me down, hoping and waiting, but I've left the decision up to him.
He's my forever love—I just know it—but I'm going to trust the universe on this one.
How long do you wait for your forever person?
Ethan is an honest hurt/comfort romance about a member of the Salish Sea Society, a group of four best friends. This novel takes place on the rugged coast of Pacific Canada and is a story about how age is simply a number and how trust forms the base of enduring love between two men at very different stages in their lives.
SNik's review:
Second in series (Salish Sea Society), can be read as a standalone but might be more fun if read in order due to the shared cast of side characters. Age gap. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Light Daddy/boy. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
Crushing on an older accountant he can’t get out of his mind, Ethan is happy running his bakery and hopes that he crosses paths with Daniel again. Once Daniel works up the nerve to visit Ethan’s bakery again, the ease of being with the other man leaves no doubt that it can be something special even if it’s his first time in a relationship with another man.
Both Daniel and Ethan are kind and selfless people, and find a passion for each other they have never experienced before. However, there is a lot of internal and external angst surrounding their large age gap and that becomes an issue for them when considering a long term commitment. Overall a swoony read, with some spicy times, and some supportive side characters that help Daniel and Ethan realize being apart isn’t an option.
