Saint's Shelter (Alden Security Book 4) by Joy Danvers

Danger, suspense and a slow heat. Saint and Rio brings heat and love together whilst running away from danger.

From the Saint's Shelter blurb:

I’ve run True Colors for years. My mission in life is to give kids who have been cast out of their homes for their gender and sexual identities a safe place.

When a new kid shows up, I become the target of a ruthless and wealthy adversary who is determined to end both my work and my life.

My brother Shiloah insists on hiring a bodyguard for me. Soon it becomes apparent that Rio wants to do more than protect my body; he’s also everything I need to heal my soul.

Hiding out and on the run seems like a dangerous time to fall head over heels, but Rio makes it impossible to resist. He may be able to keep my body intact, but what about my heart?

Wlf_forest's review:

What a lovely and easy to read story. The suspense is there and so is a gentle heat. Saint and Rio didn’t quite hit it off in the beginning. But proximity to each other and time spent together due to the dangers to Saint because of what he does for the LGBTQ+ community has bought about a story that has some hot scenes but also some gentle moments. Love their nicknames for each other.

This world that Joy has built has sucked me in to also read the first book of this series.
