SOS Hotel: For a Supernaturally Safe Stay, SOS Hotel #1 by Adam Vex (Ariana Nash)

Trying something new has really worked out for Ariana Nash, writing SOS Hotel as Adam Vex.

From the blurb:

Guaranteed a supernaturally safe stay!
(Definitely no murders)

*

A scandalous ex-porn-star demon, and a morally shady billionaire vampire walk into a bar . . .

But this is no joke. It’s opening day at the SOS Hotel, and that lust demon? He’s my business partner. I know. What was I thinking? The suave, billionaire vampire however? He’s something else . . .

Creating a sanctuary for the supernaturals left here when the tear in the veil sealed was always going to be difficult, but it’s all I have, and I’m going to make it work. Despite the murders, the missing humans, and the psychotic real estate mogul who wants to bulldoze the hotel . . .

The SOS Hotel must thrive, whatever the cost. Because if it fails, I’ll lose everything. Including my life.

My name is Adam. I’m just the boring human who works here, and I absolutely, definitely, do not have any secrets.

Welcome to the SOS Hotel. What can possibly go wrong?

Warning: SOS Hotel is a wild ride with adult content, dry humor, gratuitous sex, drugs, alcohol, explicit scenes and language, multiple murders, way-too-much swearing, morally corrupt good guys, vicious bad guys, everyone is a sociopath, and holding it all together is one definitely-not-dangerous human. Oh, and it starts out as MM, but will be MMM eventually, when they figure that out...

Have a GREAT stay!

Jacquie's Review:

Fresh and fun, SOS Hotel serves up a treat! I loved everything about it and have a million questions.

This is different from the usual Ariana Nash books I've read, but, hear me out here, it's absolutely necessary for the author to do something new, and not just that, it's addictive reading, too.

My attention span is... Not the best, shall we say? I absorbed this practically in one sitting. Loved every second.

Sassy, 100% human, Adam. Sexy, alluring demon Zodiac with a vulnerable heart, and weirdly enigmatic vampire Reynard make an interesting group and it will be MMM once the demon and vamp decide they don't hate each other, as much as they did.

Full of interesting side characters - I love Tom Collins! Lots of the trademark secrets and lies as well as potential betrayals you know to expect from an Ariana Nash book, just funny in places, too.

Rogue's Review:

I don't really know what I expected when I picked this book up, but it certainly was a wild ride. Nobody is what you'd expect and there are secrets galore. This is utterly bonkers and I have no doubt the author had huge fun writing it. It's ostensibly written by the main character - Adam Vex - who is without doubt just a plain human, normal, boring and the only person with no secrets whatsoever. None at all, nope. Plain, boring, normal human Adam Vex. (He's really not 😂).

As this is the first book, there's some scene setting and I love the world the author has created, there's so much scope here for the continuing adventures of Adam, Zodiac and Reynard. Adam certainly has secret and oh, the tension between him and his ex-porn star demon business partner Zodiac. I loved Zodiac, underneath all the flirting and teasing I think he really does like Adam, and I can't wait to see where their relationship goes - of course with Reynard too.

What a start to a new series, I loved it and can't wait for more.
