Full Disclosure (Veiled Intentions Book 4) by Elle Keaton

A quick return to Piedras Island where Mat and Niall are still going strong. Some news about Niall's mother out of the blue that shakes Niall, and another death that needs investigating by Mat.

From the Full Disclosure blurb:

Niall didn't want to know.

He thought he didn't care what had happened to his mother after she disappeared all those years ago. But, the past has a way of rising from the, er, dead when least expected.

Niall regrets answering that mid-morning phone call.

In the past few years, Niall's learned to open up his heart an inch or two. He doesn't like it one bit, but it's proving impossible to slam it shut again.

Of course, his beloved husband, Mat, and the few people he thinks of as friends rally around him after he learns Ana's remains have been found--but will they be enough? Will the discovery bring him closure, or will it open a whole new can of worms?

Niall's guess is worms, but he's a glass-half-full guy.

Full Disclosure is a Veiled Intentions novella set a few years after Black Moon. It is book four in the series and cannot be read as a standalone.

SNik's review:

Fourth in series (Veiled Intentions), must be read in order. Murder suspense. Established couple. No burn. Quick read. Dual POV.

Set a few years after the last book in the series, Mat and Niall are still happily living and working on Piedras Island, surrounded by family and friends. News about Niall’s long absent mother and an unexplained death on the island ferry has Mat and Niall with their hands full and spending a chunk of the book apart. I enjoyed revisiting this main couple and seeing some of the other cameos of characters from the author’s other series. The investigations were interesting but not overinvolved. I would have loved a longer story with more Mat and Niall interactions, but overall I was thrilled to have another glimpse into Mat and Niall’s lives.
