Dusk Secrets by Addison Beck

Let's set the mood here and play Hozier "take me to church" and that will prepare you for the journey that is DUSK SECRETS. Two lives meeting cause so many to judge their faith and what is really important in their lives.

From the blurb:

Jarred:

Camp Trinity has been my life for the last twenty years, and no messy divorce is going to change that.
I’m determined to focus on my faith and make this summer the best season my staff and campers have ever seen.

What I didn’t expect was that my newest camp counselor—young, mysterious, angry Noah—would come in and threaten to ruin it all. I couldn’t have predicted that one simple greeting would put me under his spell. That his smile would make me feel things I haven’t felt in years.

I want him. More than I’ve ever wanted my soon-to-be ex-wife. More than I’ve ever wanted anything in my entire life.

No matter what, I can’t act on these desires. Because the only path this blasphemous attraction will take me is straight to hell.

Dusk Secrets is a strangers-to-lovers, 25+ age gap, boss/employee romance that centers around a Catholic camp director and his infatuation with his newest camp counselor. It’s steamy, heart-warming, frustrating, and will give you a well-deserved HEA.

Molly Otto's Review:

Before you consider this read, please read the trigger warnings. They are there for a reason. Addison goes to the darkest sides of faith and makes the other side so much more worth it. That being said, don't read this if these are triggering for your mental health.

If you are looking for a story of the painful journey to acceptance while being a member of the Catholic church, this is the perfect read for you. These characters are full of faults. They make mistakes that both hurt them and those they love, but they grow from those choices. That is what makes this such a moving story the faults are shown, and it takes time and effort for forgiveness.

Jarred hurts Noah in a way that cuts so deep it gives him the courage to be his true self. Jarred has to learn that those who truly love him will accept all sides of him.

The ending is truly worth all the pain, but be ready for that pain.
