Blood Wine: An m/m vampire romance (Dark Blood Book 3) by Scarlet Blackwell

Scarlett has mastered how to end a bloody mess between old and new vampires with their humans! Blood Wine is part 3 of the Dark Blood series.

From the blurb:

When vampires and humans mix, there will be blood...

"Really, his conscience was too much. Istvan had taught him well."

In the dark hours, shell shock still claims vampire Sam for its own. He’s lonely and afraid of his new world, still tormented by flashbacks of the Somme. Once so close to his human friend, Stephen, he now feels isolated as he watches Stephen’s evolving love affair with the vampire Istvan.

When Sam meets Janos, a human with a death wish who likes to play with vampires, it’s instant lust that soon becomes more.

But who is Bela, the new vampire on the scene, and is the past dead and buried for good?

A dark, steamy m/m tale of blood lust and vampire power games.

Previously published. Revised and extended with brand new covers.

Tatted_book_freak's Review:

Oh, what an explosive ending to an epic journey in the lives of vampires! Blood Wine focuses more on Sam’s life as a new vampire and adapting to being alone, we learn more about his loyalty towards his previous life.

I wasn’t quite sure how to take Janos initially due to his promiscuity with the vampire’s yet also his hatred towards the species. At first glance, I didn’t like him and did not feel the same connection between the two.

Scarlett does a fabulous job of bringing this series to an end. Even though I am kind of bummed there was no sexual activity between Raphael and Emil before their doom, but at least Stephen will finally be with Istvan forever!!

And, whoever thought a vampire story without the debauchery would be just as captivating!? Don’t get me wrong, Scarlett gives a few scenes, but there was more action than intimacy. Great trilogy filled with steam, action, vampires and their humans!
