All I Want for Christmas is Tentacles, Tinsel and Tentacles by Chloe Archer

All I Want For Christmas is Tentacles is a heartwarming holiday love story with strong Hallmark vibes and an adorable crew of fun loving aliens!

From the blurb:

Seasons greetings and alien abductions! Can two misfits find love together? It might just take a Christmas miracle! Let's hope Santa doesn't mind that tentacles can be both naughty and nice...

Khephren

There’s no way in Helgar's Nebula I’m marrying the candidate my parents have chosen for me. I don’t want to be the house-husband of some stoic warrior who only cares about training all day. Boring! Thankfully, I’ve learned a thing or two from all those rom-com human movies I’ve illegally downloaded off the intergalactic web. No one will see it coming when I pull a runaway groom maneuver on them!

Once I make my escape, I can go on the solo honeymoon of my dreams—to planet Earth. It’s almost that wondrous time of year when they celebrate their holiday known as “Christmas.” Human Hallmark movies make it seem so magical. I want to experience it for myself! Now, I just need to find a human who can make my wish come true and help me have an authentic holly jolly time…

Sasha

Scrooge was right when he said “bah humbug” to Christmas. This time of year sucks balls, and not the fun kind. I’ve just lost my crappy part-time job and I’m slowly sinking under a sea of student loan debt and crushed dreams.

Just when I think my life couldn’t possibly get any worse, my cat and I are abducted by an alien who wants me to help him experience a "real human Christmas" on his ship. WTF? Clearly he’s chosen the worst possible candidate for the job.

But there’s something about Khephren’s enthusiasm and eternal optimism that starts to melt even my grumpy, cynical heart. Heck, I even agree to be his fake fiancΓ© to get his parents off his back! I don’t know what’s happening to me, but Khephren’s charm is making me feel things I never have before. And those bright pink tentacles of his are strangely fascinating. I can’t help but wonder what all they can do…

As we spend more time together, I start to realize I might not want to go home and that maybe, just maybe, I’ve found what I’ve always been looking for. Could Khephren feel the same? If so, it would be a Christmas miracle and I don’t believe in those…right?

All I Want for Christmas is Tentacles is a standalone novel (74k words) in the Tinsel and Tentacles multi-author winter holiday MM tentacle romance series. It features a runaway tentacled-alien groom obsessed with Hallmark movies and Christmas, a grumpy human who’s down on his luck and says “bah, humbug” to the holidays, an alien abduction, fake fiancΓ© fun, a cat named Jonesey, a droid named Rambo, a ship called the Sleigh Belle, found family, sweet and cozy vibes for the season, and a guaranteed HEA!

An adorable grumpy/sunshine pairing. I just loved the holiday smoopyness. Khephren was absolutely precious. His enthusiasm for life was infectious. Even the surly human Sasha couldn't resist! It was the cutest thing ever seeing these two dance around their feelings for one another. Even Khephren's two best friends could tell they were head over heels for one another.

Sasha may have started their space adventure being abducted from his life on Earth, but it soon becomes apparent it wasn't much of a life at all. On board the Sleigh Belle, he slowly discovers how different his life could be. He could have friends who become family and he could have the love of the absolute sweetest alien in the galaxy.

The scene where Sasha and River get to meet via space video is amazing. I knew right away those two would get on like a house on fire. No shame, the both of them. It would be so fun if we could see more of them interacting in a future Tentacular Tales book. I bet River would love Khephren too. Like Sasha realizes, it's truly impossible not to fall in love with that pink tentacled alien.

Sheena's Review:

When I started my reviewing journey, never in all my years did I ever think I'd be reading a Christmas book with tentacles, let alone loving it so much that I give it 5 stars. I am so glad I did decide to pick this up, as I'd have been missing out on a spectacular Christmas treat if I hadn't. This is funny, sweet, touching, heartfelt and full of all the comedy, laughs and fandom references that I could ever want. I can also tell the author had WAAAAAY too much fun thinking up acronyms because those were seriously hilarious.

Essentially it's a runaway groom who is obsessed with all things Christmas, escaping to Earth and abducting a human so they can experience their own Hallmark Christmas aboard their ship as they can't land on Earth themselves. That's half the story, the other half is a touchingly sweet love story with one learning to open up and trust and find joy again after life has kicked him to the curb, and one whose sunny optimism and open nature is the perfect foil for the other. With added tentacles.

I seriously loved this. It made me laugh (oh god, did it make me laugh), and it made me feel warm and Christmassy too. This is just such a joyous treat, and yes, the added tentacles made it so much better.

Molly Otto's Review:

What can I really say but no one writes a holiday special quite like Chloe! Who makes an alien abduction be cute and tender? But here me are all Kheph wanted was the perfect Christmas he's seen on Hallmark holiday specials, and what better way to do it than abduct an elf from Earth? Yes, it's a wild ride of pure entertainment that you seriously can not put down from start to finish. And yes, the dang cat on the cover is a big part of the story. Who knew?

In normal Chloe brilliance, you get a new acronym that will have you snort out loud and wonder how these silly aliens do not think about these things? We get to visit old friends, and yes, they will make you smile and hope to have future visits from the Sleigh Belle crew.

Angel's Review:

Chloe's writing style is truly so unique and true to her. I'm always captivated by her writing cause while I don't know how aliens actually behave, (or if they are even real) the way she writes them is so realistic. And she somehow comes up with so many different alien species, along with each alien and human having their own personalities. Chloe continually shocks me with her writing, and she knocked it out of the park with this book.

All Khephren and his friends want is to experience Christmas the way humans do. The only way they can do that is to abduct a human and ask them to show them their ways. Little did they know the human they abducted is actually a Grinch.

I thought this story was so great! It had the classic humor, snark, and sassiness that you expect from Chloe's characters, along with plenty of tentacles. I enjoyed how this book was written. I also really liked the characters themselves. I appreciated how determined and passionate Khephren was to not only celebrate Christmas himself, but to also try to get Sasha's Christmas spirit back. I thought all of those moments were so sweet. The unique twist on Jingle Bells was adorable to read about. And I found the alien Christmas decorations really unique and fun!!

Overall, a really great tentacle filled holiday romance story!
