Clueless Puckboy by Saxon James and Eden Finley - Review, Release Blitz and Giveaway

The fifth member of the Queer Collective gets his HEA - with the trainer from his team... in Clueless Puckboy

From the blurb:

QUINN

Straining my groin is bad enough. It puts my hockey career, my future, but even worse, my dignity on the line.

Having to get massages in that area from Vance Landon, one of the team trainers, is mortifying.

It’s impossible to hide my feelings toward him. If my constant blushing and bumbling doesn’t give it away, my body does.

It’s getting to the point where I wonder if hockey is even worth the embarrassment.

Trying to avoid him only makes him seek me out more. He’s determined to rehab my injury, but all I want is for him to leave me alone.

Or fall for me.

One or the other.

VANCE

Ayri Quinn isn’t your typical jock … except for the fact he refuses to admit when he’s injured.

I’ve seen more than enough professional sportsmen lose the career they love due to injury, and I’m not having it happen again.

Especially not when the guy in question happens to be the sweetest, most awkward, innocent jock I’ve ever met.

When a night out leads to Quinn reinjuring himself, I create a care plan that keeps me hands on, literally. Unfortunately, working with him in close proximity brings all those feelings I’ve been trying to ignore to the surface.

I just need to get him better so he can be back on the ice and out of my bed.

Ah, my massage bed.

Because if this goes on any longer, I might mean my actual bed.

Ayri Quinn is impossible to resist.

Heather's Review:

I'm not sure who's more clueless - Quinn or Vance, where they both feel the connection but neither one thinks the other is truly interested...  plus they have the issue of working together.  This book has all the classic Sadenverse energy - the humour, the advice from the Collective, the steam and I was there for all of it!

This book felt lighter and less angsty than some of the previous books once the two men got together - and it was refreshing to see a team who accepted that the two men could in fact work in the same place and be romantically involved - with a few tweaks!

I can't wait to see where the next Queer Collective HEA comes from!

Jacqueleen the Reading Queen's Review:

"It's a good-luck charm."

"By making everyone who comes face-to-face with you wonder how a child was able to grow a mustache?"

To say I was excited for the cover reveal for this book, maybe even more than the book itself, may or may not be correct. When Saxon subtly hinted that they based their MCs off of the cover models they had chosen I just knew we were going to get a cover with Quinn and his controversial lip sweater. I couldn't wait to see it in all its glory after all the heckling he received in previous books from the Collective. I certainly wasn't disappointed, and I also have no idea how Saxon and Eden found the one model in the world who still looks drop dead gorgeous even rockin' a solo stache. Hats off to them for such a feat.

I really loved Quinn and his adorable stuttering. Honestly the poor guy spent a large percentage of the book turning red in the face. Thankfully, Vance saw his penchant for embarrassment as part of his charm. And he was charming. A total naive and innocent sweetheart really. But that total sweetheart became far more confident when it was time for the clothes to come off. He even got, dare I say it, a bit bossy in the bedroom at times.

"My mouth is anything but innocent. Let me show you."

I left like this book was more lighthearted than its predecessors. All the hilarious mustache jokes aside, there wasn't much drama to be found. Vance is definitely more mature than the majority of the Collective, so I don't know if that played a part. Their relationship was just sort of easy breezy. They fit together like they had been with each other for years. There was a level of respect between them and a strong want to make the other person happy. It was pretty wholesome come to think of it and that is not something I ever thought I'd be saying about a Puckboy. I also loved how present Asher was in this book as he's besties with Quinn. Their dynamic was just as fun to read about as the romance and it was nice to be reminded of his secret softie side.

About the Author

Eden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff.

She doesn't take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.

With a short attention span that rivals her son's, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.

She's also an Australian girl and apologises for her Australianisms that sometimes don't make sense to anyone else.
