Tackle (A Hitman's Bait Book 3) by Gianni Holmes

Tackle is the long awaited finale to the Hitman's Bait series. Kit and Sully are a power couple - the love-struck hitman and the seductive man that captured his heart. Both men are capable, strong, and relentless when it comes to being with their partner, and nothing will come between them no matter how dangerous or deadly.

From the blurb:

SULLY
Calling a truce with the Grimaldo’s should have given us all a breather.
I should celebrate that my contract as a hitman for the mafia is ending.
Instead, I find myself involved with the mafia more than ever.
My life is spiraling out of control. Nothing makes sense anymore.
Except the need to protect my kitten at any cost.
KIT
If my near-death experiences have taught me anything,
It’s that I was born to survive.
To love a hitman named Sullivan Matthews.
And that I’ll be no one’s victim ever again.
Everyone thinks my heart is too soft.
But I’m willing to do whatever it takes to protect the man I love.

Tackle is the third book in A Hitman’s Bait series. This series must be read in order. Please read the content warnings in the author's note.

SNik's Review:

Third in series (The Hitman’s Bait), must be read in order. Established couple. Age gap. Found family. Dual POV.

There is nothing that will come between a committed, smitten hitman and the beautiful and seductive man he loves. Sully and Kit are solidifying their relationship with plenty of steam, professions of love, and vowing to stay together while working and playing.

Kit comes into his own in this story, and while Sully supports him, Kit grows in his personal confidence beyond just his sex appeal.

There is some action as Sully continues to work towards retiring while juggling his new alliance with good friends from a rival family that puts him at odds with his current boss.

I really appreciated that Kit and Sully’s relationship is solid throughout this book and unshakable even in the face of jealousy and self-doubt.

This finale was both sweet and sexy, a nice way to finish Kit and Sully’s story with found family and plenty of spice.
