Four Play: An MMMM Daddy Romance (Paddle Creek College Book 4) by HJ Welch

Back to Paddle Creek for another sweet and steamy romance by HJ Welch in Four Play.

From the blurb:

Three hungry wolves. One pretty little lamb. The hunt for love is on.

HARPER

I’m here for a good time, not a long time. When a total cutie asks me if I’d be interested in him and his two Daddies chasing me down and having their way with me, it sounds fun. I’m only in this crappy town for the summer, after all. But what we share is intense. I signed on to get caught…not to catch feels. However, when I find myself being hunted for real, can I really expect my wolf pack to come to the rescue?

RICK

After my husband and I swapped military life for married life, we quickly met our sweet baby boy who we’ll do anything for. When Brady says he’s found a sassy little lamb for the three of us to stalk, I’m happy to indulge him. But this broken young man swiftly captures all of our hearts, even though he says he can walk away any time. There’s a difference between walking and being taken, however. Now I have the scent of a fool who’s about to discover what happens when he’s stolen what’s mine.

Four Play is a super steamy, standalone MMMM romance. It’s the fourth book in the Paddle Creek College series, where it’s always the quiet ones who get up to the best kind of trouble. This book features exhilarating primal play, one hell of a paint ball match, an underwater themed motel, so many smooches, an obsessive ex-boyfriend, and a guaranteed HEA with absolutely no cliffhanger.

Jacquie's Review:

Helen Juliet, writing here as HJ Welch, is one of my favorite authors. When I pick up one of her books, I know I'm in for sweetness and steam.

I love the world of Paddle Creek, with its supportive cast of characters. Each of these books can be read as standalones, but you appreciate the side characters better for having read the series.

Primal play is so fun, and I loved how it was done here. I also enjoyed how Brady made mistakes and learned from them in a gentle way. His daddies were so sweet and supportive to him as he grew and brought Harper into their dynamic.

Harper struggles with some things. His life has hardly been sunshine and rainbows, but with a daddy, papa, and baby wolf by his side, he really begins to heal.

Gotta love a little DP action! I dunno if this one was as steamy as the previous ones, but it fit the situation perfectly.

Beautiful HEA

Heather's Review:

When Helen Juliet writes as HJ Welch, I know that I am going to read steamy, kinky romance with sweet, fairly low angst between the characters and a twist we don't anticipate... and that's exactly what we get in Four Play.

Rick, Brady and Trey are already  in a supportive relationship when Brady ventures out to try to find a submissive of his own and stumbles on Harper... these two boys are adorable together and the chemistry is great... and that flows into becoming more - even with a few false starts...

I love that consent, communication and caring are the hallmarks of this story and the steam is balanced with more depth and relationship development... and of course the twist put a smile on my face!
