Island Daddy by Jack Harper

Island Daddy is a Destination Daddies story featuring a billionaire and a man who is supposed to write an investigative story about him.

From the blurb:

REID

As the sole heir to my family’s chain of luxury resorts, I’m in quite the position of power. My fortune hasn’t always been the blessing which the media has made it out to be. The life of Riley can get
incredibly lonely without a constant person to snuggle up next to, something I’ve lacked for quite a while. All that changed when I met Kragen. Despite his endearing spirit needing a daddy to keep him in order, he’s showing me a side to life that I never initially thought was possible. Though, I’m left to skirt the ledge of trusting him without steady footing.

KRAGEN

My modest life has been short and uneventful. Course, what could I truly expect by twenty-one—a Nobel Prize? After being stuck in Oahu for my sister’s wedding, the trajectory of my journey has finally turned a corner. Daddy Reid has certainly been the older male influence I’ve always wanted, yet couldn’t ever have. He’s no slouch in the intimacy department either. Even better on the beach! Now I’m tasked with coming clean, submitting my deepest, darkest secret to the one man on this planet it would destroy entirely.

**Island Daddy is a medium-low angst, steamy Daddy/Boy story with an HEA. Content Alcohol and substance usage, heavy language and some BDSM themes with ZERO age play element.**

Heather's Review:

While there's an instant connection and a lack of communication about scenes/consent/ expectations, I liked that Island Daddy was more a sugar daddy situation as opposed to a caring daddy.

The characters were fairly well developed, the pacing was good, as was the heat.  I enjoyed the sub-plot and the culmination of the story.

Amanda Reeves' Review:

This was my first book I've read by this author and I really loved it.  Age gap is one of my favorite tropes and this one was done really well, I really enjoyed reading about Kragen and Reid and their adventure to their HEA.

Denise's Review:

This was the first book I read by this author. And he did not disappoint. This was a wonderfully written story in a dual pov, which is by far my favorite cuz you get both characters point of view. But not only was getting their point of view with this story it's almost like you're sitting in a room and they're telling you their story.

This was an age Gap storyline. And there is a little bit of a BDSM in the storyline. This does have Daddy things that does not have age play for those that do not like it. So do not let that deter you from reading the story because of the daddy vibe.

I couldn't put this book down once I started. It keeps you intrigued from start to finish. And as always all my books that I read must have a happily ending, this did not disappoint.

Lesetiger's Review:

This was my first book by Jack Harper and I enjoyed it. It didn't take long to get into the story of Kragen and Reid. This was written alternately from both perspectives, which gave me a good insight into the two characters.

You can feel the connection between Reid and Kragen right away as you read. There is a little bit of BDSM, but without great communication of expectation. The characters were well developed, the plot hooked me from the beginning and the pacing was good as well. Once I started reading, I couldn't put the book down.

Anyone who wants to read a sweet daddy story with a happy ending should pick this up.
