When I heard that there was going to be a spin off from the popular Lords of Discord series, I was delighted because I loved the vampires. I still can't decide which of them is my favorite. Usually it's Bel.
A couple of the stories were familiar having been shared in the author's reader group or in the back of each corresponding book, but it was lovely to re-read them and catch up with the Varik clan ahead of the new spin off series. There's a story from each of the sons and then their father, Aiden, though his is from his mate's pov.
I adored the new story around Gideon and Ryder from Rafe's club. I was always a little curious about the relationship that Gideon had with Rafe and seeing Gideon grow was fantastic. This story also extended the character list associated with the Variks by adding in some new witches.
It also teases the new group and I cannot wait!
