Part of a multi-author series (The Elite) but all are standalone stories. Quick read. Dual POV. 

Carter is dropped into the dark underbelly of a secret club while seeking revenge, and only with the help of the man known as the Dealer of Secrets might he survive. Zaire doesn’t know why he decides to approach the nervous man that doesn’t belong, but their initial attraction leads Zaire to offer Carter help in uncovering who might have killed his brother. 

This story has continuous intrigue and action, with a bit of steamy interactions between Zaire and Carter, with Carter rising to the occasion as the fish out of water that quickly has to adapt in order to survive and get his revenge. Even though Zaire is motivated by his own reasons at first, he quickly falls for the sweet and caring Carter. 

Once they work together they realize they are better together than apart, and get a fun HEA.
