Becoming Bennet is a frenemies to lovers, co-workers, forced proximity, only one bed, change of pace story that takes Bennet and Jasper out of their West Coast bubble and takes them back to Bennet's rural Kansas roots.

This book is lighter and more fun in so many ways than the first book in the series, even if the reason they have to rush home is very serious.  I absolutely loved the side characters who make the farm their home... especially the sweet cow and the super protective cock (rooster for those of you giggling now).  I also appreciate the veggie hiding tricks, the local farm shop and so many other details that helped make this story so vibrant and put me in rural Kansas with them...

While this is a story of two camboys, and they still do some work, it's also about dropping everything for a friend and supporting them as they live through a crisis - and fall in love.
