Unfettered Omega: MM Paranormal Romance, (Found & Freed: The Unfettered Book 1) by S. Rodman

A wolf shifter that can't escape his harem imprisonment and the new healer that wants to help. But can Red trust Brodie with his safety and that of the other men that are his fellow captives and family or is Brodie just another abuser? Unfettered Omega is part of the larger universe that S. Rodman is building and is the start of a new series.

From the blurb:

Is he here to save me? Or is he just another captor?
I’m a slave. Nothing more than property. The very thing I never wanted to be, and the very reason I ran away from my pack.

Seems like fate has a cruel sense of humor.

Being enslaved in a harem, even a billionaire’s, is no life at all.

‘Ritchie’s Rainbow’, they call us. Each of us are named and dressed in a different color. Red, Blue, Jade, Gray, Pink, Yellow and Indigo. I’ve been called Red for so long, I can barely remember my real name.

A vampire, siren, fey, demon, vessel, kelpie and me, a wolf shifter. All imprisoned for the pleasure of a wealthy human, to use for himself and to lend to his friends.

I take care of the other boys the best I can, they are brothers to me and it’s in my omega nature to be nurturing. But it is hard when we are all suffering so much.

But Brodie, the new healer, seems kind under his gruff exterior. I see something in his eyes. Something that gives me hope.

I think he might just be here to save us all.

But I don't think falling for me is part of the plan.

Am I going to ruin everything?

Or will I finally find freedom? Finally become unfettered?

SNik's Review:

First book in series (Unfettered). Paranormal. Instalove. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.

The new healer for a billionaire's harem, Brodie has a job to do, but the abuse of the imprisoned supernatural men in the group is horrifying. When Brodie finds himself attracted to the wolf shifter named Red it makes his job even harder, he can’t stop his feelings but has to stay on task or risk the safety of everyone in the harem, including Red.

There are tough parts of this story, and a set of men that have forged a bond together from their mutual suffering. A familiarity with Rodman’s previous books is helpful as this story takes place in a previously established supernatural universe, but it’s not necessary to enjoy the story.

Brodie and Red connect instantly and it’s not purely physical attraction as they are both protectors and find comfort and kindness with each other.

Rodman knows how to write a quick story with plenty of emotion and steam for an entertaining book and this first entry into a new series does not disappoint.

Jacquie's Review:

I just like how S. Rodman writes. Every book is interesting, there's little Easter eggs for those who have read other books in their world.

Unfettered Omega is the start of a new series going through each of the guys in the harem. Each one is a different supernatural type, with one human who is also a vessel.

Some parts are hard going. Brodie struggles with it, and that made me struggle with the abuse the guys go through. None are there by choice. They are dehumanized by referring to them as colors. They have no freedoms, not even a choice of clothing. Brodie's moral struggle helped me like him all the more, especially since he tries so hard to be caring for the guys.

It's sad but fascinating, and each character takes on their own personality and traits.

Red and Brodie were great together and I'm looking forward to Gray's story especially.
