Racing the Storm, Beast of Burden #3 by E.M. Lindsey

"Wow... I keep getting blown away by each installment to this increasingly action packed series." - Angel on Racing the Storm.

From the blurb:

My job was simple: provide the voice of reason on the Alpha Council so no one gained more power than anyone else. And it remained that way until the humans managed to fracture our numbers. And worst of all, the only Omega I have ever met to make my heart pound has gone missing.

Danyal is more than just a geneticist dedicated to our cause. He's also the one Omega I shared a heat with decades ago.

But Danyal doesn't seem to remember our night, and it's not something I'm eager to bring up again, but I will never forget the way I wanted him. And now that his life is in danger, it's all I can do to keep the course and not tear the planet apart. I'm not sure what I expect to find when I finally catch his scent, but I know I'm not leaving until he's safe in my arms.

Racing the Storm is the third book in a Dystopian MM Werewolf trilogy featuring A/B/O hierarchy with no m-preg, mild violence, and a happily ever after. Beast of Burden books are not stand alone and are best read in order. Racing the Storm is a second edition, previously released under a different title, series, and pen name.

Angel's Review:

I don't quite know how to form my thoughts into words about this book. This i think was by far my favorite in the whole series so far. Danyal's character has intrigued from the very beginning, I was always curious about him, and why he was so skittish when it came to hear talk. Now I know why, and I understand why he was like that. When I read that scene I wanted to hate Mikael... But then getting his perspective, I couldn't bring myself to hate him. He was hurting and scared, and instead of staying he ran.

I loved this book! We, as readers, got so much more information in this installment! The overarching plot line that concurs throughout these books is so magnificent. Just when you think one mystery is solved another one pops back up in its place. I want to tell you about the things that happened in this story, but I can't, because it would completely spoil the story for you. All I can say is be prepared for the twists and turns that are very prevalent in this book, you'll feel like you are having whiplash with all of those turns. More characters to grab at your heart strings, more characters though you thought were evil, were merely a victim themselves...

I really hope we get more information about Ivan in the next book, I feel like his character could deserve redemption. And I need to know what happens with the Wolves that were rescued from the compound! There is so much I need to know!! I love this series because with each book, and each set of characters, I yearn for the next book, and the book after that.

This book is very well written, with immaculate detail, fantastic characters, and an amazing plot!!

I really enjoyed 'seeing' Mikael's and Danyal's relationship grow and progress throughout their time together.

Nadya, Ivan, Eduardo, Mari, Bryn... So many new characters that we need to know more about!

I highly recommend you get these books yourselves. Please note. This is NOT a STANDALONE. You must read what has come before in order to read this book.
