This book may be triggering for those with negative coming out experiences. Derogatory language is used against the LGBTQIA+ community by side characters. And, manipulation and negative role expectations set forth by family members are prominent throughout.

I was totally caught unawares with this book – I truly was expecting just a sweet and romantic story within a college setting. This story was that and sooo much more !! It was intense with the back and forth from the MC’s, the emotional upheavals and trying to work out what is the right thing to do.  

Eli is a student at college – a good guy that studies hard, loves his siblings and listens to his parents. Noah is Eli’s girlfriend Dad… and is a professor at the college who is divorced from his wife and trying to reconnect with his daughter. They go through an emotional minefield and it certainly takes a toll…. With them, family and friends… and you really do feel it when reading this book.  

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel – quite simply, outstanding !!
