From the blurb:

Kyran Harbor is everything I’m not.

Rich. Popular. A superstar football player who’s awfully broody for someone who has it all. Basically, he’s a preppy jock who hates me. Oh, and he’s also my stepbrother.

That’s right. We’re stuck together, sharing a school, a house… A bathroom. Honestly, I wouldn’t care… If he wasn’t such an uptight control-freak who messes with me just because we’re different.

I had every intention of avoiding him when we got to college… Until abrupt misfortune forces us both into a compromising position.

Now the grouchy jerk I was hoping to evade might be the only person who can help me out of it.

Avi Vega is everything I despise.

A dreamer. A flake. An artist who smokes too much weed and thinks aliens exist. And by some sick cosmic joke, he’s now my stepbrother, following me on what should’ve been my escape plan.

It was already a disaster. Add a sudden financial disruption to the mix, and let’s just say my options are heavily limited.

If I want to stay an all-star quarterback on the way to the NFL, I’ll need to do something drastic. Unfortunately for me, and my desperate desire for control, the perpetually smiling stoner has a plan.

Maybe we can stop hating each other just enough to pull this off. As long as we remember we’re only doing it… for the fans.

** For The Fans is a full-length standalone MM forbidden romance with an HEA. This book contains sensitive subject matter that could make some readers uncomfortable. Please heed foreword warnings and proceed with caution.

Angel's Review:

This is the book for you! Nyla K is a new-to-me author, I haven't read anything from her prior to this book. I was blown away by this book! It was well written, you could tell that it was thought out, the plot was great, and the characters... *Sighs* the characters were fantastic! Every single one had a reason to be apart of the story; they weren't just there for no reason. All of the characters that are mentioned in this book added more depth and dimension to the overall storyline. Frankie sounds like an awesome best friend, she was so supportive of Avi and kept trying to nudge, or more like shove, him out of his comfort zone. With love of course. And Guty and Theo being so accepting and support of Ky when he came out? That scene just made me smile. Cause they just accepted him, they didn't make a fuss, they were just like "I knew it!" I really hope each of those men get their own story; I'm very curious about what was bothering Theo after they won the Rise Bowl. There is definitely more to his character and I really hope Nyla writes more about him. And obviously more of these characters!

Now I'm going to be honest; this book is a long.., book! If you want instant love and gratification your not going to get it here folks! For me, this did start off a bit slow with a whole lot of angst... And anger. But! Once things picked up, the story just kept getting better and better. Ky's character did not impress me right away either, now that I've read the full story I understand his character more. But in the beginning of the book, he was just being a bully, and purposefully going out of his way to be cruel to Avi. Though once they started hanging out together more Ky did apologize to Avi for his behavior. So then his character warmed me over eventually by the end. What Ky went through as a child broke my heart, but I am so glad he is now able to get help and that he's coming to terms with what happened to him.

Avi's character was a riot! He cracked me up, and him quitting smoking so he can and I quote; "enjoy the high of being with Ky" was so touching. He gave up a bad habit so he could fully be in the moments he shared with Ky. That was a really pivotal scene for me.

This book was really unique and creative; I've never read a story quite like it before. I'm really glad I took a chance and read this book, and I really hope you take a chance too!
