Part of a multi-author series (Corrupt Cupid) but all are standalone stories. Heed content warnings. Dual POV.
Fifteen years ago, Teddy was abducted, tortured, brainwashed and now Duncan is out on parole and Teddy is dragged back into his past trauma after having tried to create a normal life for himself.
Duncan has done his time but can’t forget the months he spent breaking Teddy, obsessed with the man and desperate to have him again at his mercy.
There is nothing that society would consider healthy or normal between Duncan and Teddy. Desire and dependency are all twisted up with needing affection and intimacy. Teddy realizes that his need for Duncan is not okay, but eventually embraces that part of himself. Duncan is selfish but also solely focused on Teddy. Their happiness in being together is the only thing that drives him and his possessive, controlling attitude is everything Teddy needs.
This story is an entertaining mess of skewed emotions, steamy interactions, and an inappropriate relationship that works for two men whose relationship grows from a very dark connection.

1000% read the trigger warnings if you have any as this book is so deliciously dirty and depraved and totally fabulous! Gianni Holmes really knows how to write these dark and dirty books and I’m totally here for it. So fantastic
I loved the story between Teddy and Duncan and reading how their lives intertwined. You got such great insight into their thoughts, which really brought the story to life as well. Absolutely loved it!

I've don't think I've enjoyed Gianni Holmes as much as this one ever before. Be Mine, Twisted Valentine was dark, and sweet in a super dark way. Normally, I don't care for cheating, but the way this book was written, it was just made to happen.
Teddy and Ducan are quite the pair. Kidnapped, hostage, loving what one should hate.
Trigger warning is needed for this sweet dark book.
What a great way to start off this horror like love series.
