Cosmic Spells and Vampire Lairs (Covens of Eaton Falls #4) by Mia Monroe

Cosmic Spells and Vampire Lairs is another great addition to the Spellbinding Covens of Eaton Falls series by Mia Monroe.

From the blurb:

Are we destined to be star-crossed lovers or is Fate on our side?

My friends are finding mates while I’m stuck with a sexy but silent vampire. Sure, Pietro is everything a boy could want- handsome, strong, brooding, and possessive. It’s just that with my gift, I’m well aware that he’s not the one fate has in store for me. He couldn’t be. For one thing, his mercury is always in retrograde.

Besides, we have bigger issues to deal with than romance. We’re at war with a real jerk, and it’s only getting worse. If I’m going to be helpful, I’ll need to focus and listen to the stars, not stare at Pietro’s gorgeous face. I live my life with light and stardust while who even knows where Pietro’s thoughts are. Even I can’t get in his head.

Everything changes when we go on a quest to find a missing witch who just might be possessed. I meet a person who sees more than I do, and he’s got a feeling about me. If I listen to him, and convince the vampire it’s real, I might just get everything I ever hoped for. That is, if this war doesn’t ruin everything before it even begins.

Cosmic Spells and Vampire Lairs is an MM paranormal romance featuring a cosmic witch with his head in the stars, a pining and brooding vampire, more demons doing bad things, and a deepening mystery that leads to a dangerous discovery. It is book four in the Covens of Eaton Falls series. Each book features a different couple with an ongoing conflict and therefore should be read in order.

Jacqueleen the Reading Queen's Review:

I stayed awake a bit past my bedtime because I just had to finish Callisto and Pietro's story. Some major discoveries are afoot in this book, but the majority was focused on the romance. These two were just so incredibly sweet, yet when it comes to the bedroom so incredibly HOT!! Pietro made me swoon on more than one occasion when he'd express his feelings for Callisto.

"I will do my best for you. I have not loved, not like this, so please be patient as I learn how to love you."

I mean come on! How adorable is that? Callisto sure thought so and it was him who took the longest to come to terms with who they are to each other. It was a hard lesson to learn that the stars he looked upon so much for guidance could have been wrong. Thankfully, the signs were enough that Callisto was finally able to see that his mate was right in front of him all long. Once he realized, the witch was all in and it was beautiful watching their relationship develop into their HEA.

"I am yours until the world ends and we are nothing but stardust again."

We meet a few side characters whom I found intriguing. One named Ares is a powerful seer who gives Callisto some good advice. I'd love to see more of him in the future. I already said there is forward movement on the story arc, but we also get a bit more insight into Willem's dilemma. I can see where the author is likely taking his story and I am 100% here for it. I really hope the prickly priest is next.

Heather's Review:

I didn't want to put this book down... I took it in the shower with me, I read it while I ate, I even finished it sitting at work.  Callisto and Pietro's romnace is a sweet fated mates/perfect timing story with a slow burn and fire climax, but we also get a lot of details about the Beautiful One and the reasons for so many of the past and present encounters and the roots of the dark magic and sinister plot!

This book is amazing on multiple levels, pulling pieces from past books, bringing in new twists and of course telling the love story of sweet, patient Pietro who has so much backstory and Callisto, whose head is literally in the stars and needs signs before every move...

We also get to travel to New Orleans, Salem and watch the whole coven continue to solve the mystery afoot...
