The blurb sounded interesting, but the story is so much more! The writing style is easy going and once you start reading, you can't put the book down. The story is wonderfully written: Dark, emotional, but also funny and exciting. Very entertaining to listen to with fascinating characters. You have to love Six and Amadeo!
Amadeo is not an easy man, in business he has to be tough as nails. But he also has a vulnerable side that hardly anyone gets to see. Six simply did the wrong thing when he stole the money from the casino. But he's willing to pay the price. But he's not willing to back down in front of Amadeo. The two are a perfect match. I found the communication between the two delightful and the chemistry between them is explosive and hot. And the suspense curve really ramps up towards the end. This was an absolutely fantastic series opener that kept me very entertained.
Conan Kennedy did a great job narrating the book. He is a new narrator for me. Conana Kennedy has a deep, sexy voice and he knows how to give different voices to the characters. Listening to the audiobook was very entertaining as he read with feeling and ups and downs, bringing the story to life. I will definitely be on the lookout for more audiobooks with Conan Kenndy as narrator. I received a free review copy of this audiobook and volunteered this honest review. I loved this audiobook and am now eagerly awaiting the next volume, "Fight me Daddy".
